We’d been “Freedom Camping” (otherwise
referred to as slumming it) for the past 4 nights as every camping park we
tried to book into was fully booked. So in search of showers and a stove to
cook a meal we headed north of Sydney in the direction of Newcastle (fingers
crossed its not a homage town to Alan shearer, jimmy nail and ant and dec) to
the town of Belmont on the beautiful Lake Macquarie where we finally found a
nice campsite for a few nights. The lake is stunning and caught some lovely
shots of the boats resting in the sunset after we arrived.
As you may have seen most of New South Wales is on fire at the moment so the chance to get close to beach was not one we were going to miss!!
Hit the pool straight away to cool off and
today spent yesterday down at Caves Beach. Wanted to get used to using the new
Go Pro action camera underwater so grabbed the opportunity to get a few short
movies….
Nay asked that I post the following photo
too see if anyone agreed with her that the bloke featured bears a striking
likeness to a particular Spanish waiter from Fawlty Towers…Goes without saying
that I don’t see any resemblance myself :-/
